Kennywood!

Kennywood day is always one of the best days of the year. This year it was more special than usual because Ruby performed on the stage there! It was the culmination of the two-week acting and musical theater camp that she has just finished. The group did a great job with their four songs and I am really proud of Ruby. A lot of family came to see her and stayed for us to enjoy the park and rides together.

Daisy rode the carousel and liked it this time. She rode the train with Grandpa and fell asleep for a nice amusement park nap, which gave us time to eat Potato Patch fries and, my favorite, the pizza that is sold near Kiddie Land. I love that pizza.
We rode Noah's Ark, the newish shooting haunted house ride, which no one but me likes, the Turtle, Raging Rapids (the kids rode this several times; it was a 85 degree day), and Music Express. Another ride that I love is the Bayern Curve. I rode the Phantom's Revenge with Leah and Russ rode the new coaster with her. We had a great time with Nathan and Isaac, Kerry and Steve, Grandma, and Grandpa and Anelia.

Daisy left with a hat other than the one she came with. Somewhere in the first hour, she lost her beloved Knoebels hat and, when we entered a gift shop later in the day,she began hitting her head, her sign for "I want a hat!" She chose a pink bucket-style with a lion and "Kennywood" stitched onto it. Daisy loves hats. Virginia, Ruby, and Leah also had fun at the hat section.
